Guide Michelin bewertet 111 Restaurants in Toronto
(12. Oktober 2026) - Der Guide Michelin hat seine Restaurant-Auswahl 2026 für Toronto und die umliegende Region vorgestellt. Neu aufgenommen wurden fünf Bib-Gourmand-Restaurants sowie elf Häuser, die erstmals als empfehlenswert geführt werden. Insgesamt umfasst die Auswahl 111 Restaurants aus 33 Küchenrichtungen. 14 Restaurants erhalten - wie im Vorjahr - einen Stern, eines wird mit zwei Sternen bewertet.
Mit den Restaurants Antylia, Golden Horseshoe Barbecue, Les Incompetents, RPM Bakehouse und The Lunch Lady of Saigon erhalten fünf Restaurants erstmals die Auszeichnung Bib Gourmand. Sie steht für eine besonders gute Küche zu einem attraktiven Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Darüber hinaus wurden elf Restaurants erstmals als empfehlenswerte Adressen aufgenommen. Einschließlich der weiterhin ausgezeichneten Sternerestaurants zählt die Auswahl nun 111 Restaurants, die zusammen 33 unterschiedliche Küchenrichtungen repräsentieren.
„Die neue Auswahl würdigt die talentierte und innovative Restaurantszene, die Toronto und die Region prägt“, erklärt Gwendal Poullennec, Internationaler Direktor des Guide Michelin. „Die Aufnahme in den Guide Michelin ist eine große Leistung und bringt diese neuen Restaurants auf die internationale kulinarische Bühne, wo sie von Genießerinnen und Genießern aus nah und fern entdeckt werden können. Mein Glückwunsch gilt ebenso den Sternerestaurants, die ihre Auszeichnung behalten und Jahr für Jahr mit ihrem konsequenten Einsatz für Qualität, Exzellenz und Innovation überzeugen.“

Im Jahr 2022 hat der Guide Michelin erstmals Restaurantbewertungen für Toronto und damit auch für Kanada veröffentlicht. Bislang gibt es dort noch kein Drei-Sterne-Restaurant. Die Zahl der Zwei-Sterne-Restaurants liegt seit drei Jahren konstant bei eins. Die Zahl der mit einem Stern bewerteten Restaurants ist seit der ersten Ausgabe des Guides kontinuierlich angestiegen, auf den derzeitigen Höchstwert von 16. Die Restaurantbewertungen des Guide Michelin Toronto fließen in unsere Restaurant-Rangliste für Kanada ein.
